The mulatto one of cordiba.

They count(tell) that as far back as the 17th century, it(he,she) was living in the villa of Cordova, State of Veracruz, Mexico, a beautiful woman of mulatto origin which parents were a negress of whom there inherited his(her, your) gracefull freightage and a Spanish gentleman. And they say that this beautiful woman was devoting herself to treat the black slaves and all the poor that were falling ill. His(her, your) life was passing also between(among) the kindness of offering alms and help to most needed from the villa of Cordova. The Mulatto one - as all they were calling him - was not living with anybody, and only sometimes an old Indian was accompanying him.

She, in the loneliness of his(her, your) house, was devoting itself to the preparation of magic filters and amulets to cure the ailments of the spirit, to treat the males of love, to withdraw you envy them and to marry the old maids.

And also the bad(wrong) languages tell, that the Mulatto one of Cordova was living alone because it(he,she) took the Devil as a lover, and that of his(her, your) house, in the nights, there were going out strong smells of sulphur and brilliant languages of fire. They were assuring that often one saw him to fly with a broom, with his(her, your) beautiful face, but with a laugh that was shining in his(her, your) of pearly colour teeth.

One day, a Creole woman came from Cordova to the Mexico City to denounce her as sorceress and witch. The certain thing is that this woman was jealous dela beauty of the Mulatto one because his(her, your) husband was claiming it.

Clear!, the Mulatto one of Cordova did not have eyes for anybody, only it was she(it) and the kindness for with his(her, your) poor.

When the Court of the Holy Trade(Office) stopped listening to the turpitudes towards the Mulatto one, it(he,she) sent the inquirer Villegas to the villa of Cordova to apprehend her. Already imprisoned in the Palace of the Inquisition, she(it) was preparing an auto-da-fé to sentence to the bonfire. The inhabitants of the Mexico City and the peoples that were surrounding it, found out that they would take the Mulatto one of Cordova to l quemadero of San Diego, who was to a side of the Avenue.

But one day, the Mulatto one in his(her, your) dungeon, said to the jailer who should take a coal piece to him(her). The jailer said to him(her) that instead of asking for coal him(her) it(he,she) should request the Holiest for the salvation of his(her, your) soul. But seduced by the haughty and beautiful presence of the Mulatto one, it(he,she) took to him(her) for what he(she) was asking. The following day the Mulatto one shouted the jailer who was to seeing what had done(painted) in the wall.

What will he(she) lack to this ship that I did(painted) in the wall? - he(she) said smiling the beautiful woman. And the jailer said: - so(then, since) to this ship, which is perfect, only it is necessary to him(her) to sail! - Since it(he,she) will sail - the Mulatto one said being raised immediately to the ship, and it(he,she) sailed in the surge of the wall up to getting lost in a corner.

In this moment there was listened a woman's thunderous guffaw that bounced in the whole Palace of the Inquisition. When the police officers went down to the place where they had prey to the Mulatto one, only they saw the jailer who was dead, seized strongly of the bars and with the eyes opened and lost in a corner of the dungeon.
